Mitre Angling Club provides outstanding quality fishing on fifteen miles of rivers, including stretches of the Calder, Ribble, Wharfe and Doe and on two reservoirs, all in beautiful surroundings in the Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside. Mitre club members are predominantly fly fishermen, although opportunities exist for spinning and bait fishing on selected waters. Fishing is for brown and rainbow trout, grayling, coarse fish, and some salmon and sea trout. The club is relatively small, with an establishment of 90 members, so there is never a problem of overcrowding. No matter whether you prefer the challenge of small streams, the comfort of larger rivers or still waters, there is something for you. |
